VIRTUAL POOL 3 FEATURING JEANETTE LEE SHIPS TO RETAIL

Irvine, California, November 7, 2000 - Digital Mayhem, the action division of Interplay Entertainment Corp. (NASDAQ: IPLY) announced today that Virtual Pool(tm) 3 featuring Jeanette Lee, the newest addition to the best selling pool franchise of all time, has shipped to retail for Windows® 95/98/00/ME based computers. This sequel has the potential to surpass all others as it carries with it the input and approval from one of pool's most successful figures, Jeanette Lee, a.k.a. The Black Widow. Interplay has also teamed up with the Women's Professional Billiard Association (WPBA) as the title sponsor for The Virtual Pool 9-Ball Challenge, an official WPBA tour event

The tournament took place November 2-5, 2000, in Prescott, Arizona, and will be aired nationally on ESPN and ESPN2. For more information on Virtual Pool 3 and The Virtual Pool 9-Ball Challenge airdates, please visit the official website at http://www.interplay.com/vp3

"I'm very excited to be involved with the Virtual Pool series," said Lee "Virtual Pool 3 is more than just a game; it's a real learning tool. I find it fascinating and I'm sure gamers will too."

Developed by Celeris, Virtual Pool 3 featuring Jeanette Lee is the most complete pool and billiards game ever made. Imagine all sixteen games from Virtual Pool(tm) Hall (8-ball, 9-ball, Snooker, Billiards, etc.) combined with exclusive video of Pro-Tips from Jeanette Lee, stunningly realistic 3D pool environments, a plethora of computer opponents with bios and photos, and a new and improved graphics system. Add to that a new front end and user interface along with professional licenses and equipment. There's even a career mode allowing the gamer to gain experience and work their way up to championship level. But perhaps the most impressive feature will be the multi-player online support using the GameSpy Arcade. Currently, the GameSpy Arcade has ladder systems up and running with tournaments and leagues coming by year-end
