Zeus Beta Test Closed After Impressions Games is Flooded with Over 10,000
Applications in One Week
Players Turn Out in Droves To Test Newest City Building Series Game
Impressions Games (http://www.impressionsgames.com) today announced that the
second round of applications for their upcoming beta test for Zeus: Master
of Olympus has closed after only a few days, with over 10,000 applications
received for the 350 spots in the test. Those selected to be in the beta
test will be informed via email as they are selected, and the first batch of
the prized beta CDs will be mailed on August 24.
"The tremendous response to our call for beta testers shows the wide appeal
that our city building games have," said Alex X. Rodberg, product manager
for Zeus. "We've been inundated with applications by people of all ages and
all walks of life, and we're excited to get those lucky few hundred involved
in the final stages of development."
Contributing beta testers will receive not only pre-release builds of the
game for testing and evaluation, but also boxed copies when the game is
finished, and be listed in the credits in the manual.
Zeus: Master of Olympus is the sixth game in Impressions' award-winning City
Building Series. Zeus, set in a mythological ancient Greece, serves up a
world filled with the likes of Hercules, Athena, Ares, Medusa, the Minotaur,
and many others. Players build and rule Greek city-states while summoning
heroes and gods to protect their land from monsters and other Greek cities.
