Fragile Bits Interactive and On Deck Interactive (ODI), a publishing label
division of developer-driven computer and video game publisher Gathering of
Developers, today announced that gamers can get a sneak peek of the scifi/action
adventure game The Ward in a new cinematic trailer available at
http://www.fragilebits.com, http://www.fileplanet.com and on Gathering of
Developers' Gathering of Goodness demo CD (register for this at
www.godgames.com). Two versions of the trailer are available, a 13mb version
(320x 150 resolution 16bit, 22khz audio), and a 3.5mb file (160x75 resolution,
16bit, 11khz audio). The action packed space adventure PC game will ship to
stores on January 16th and will be available for a suggested retail price of
$19.99.
The Ward takes gamers on a futuristic escapade through the depths of space to
solve puzzles, crack codes and save the Universe from impending doom and alien
rule. Playing as David Walker, a U.S. astronaut on a routine mission to the
moon, gamers lose their ship and crew in a mission disaster, and must escape a
secret world and alien abductors bent on universal domination. Gamers will play
through highly detailed interactive 3D environments and experience intense 3D
effects as the story unfolds. More than 20 characters including two alien races
and their human prisoners are introduced through the game. Multiple adventure
gameplay options have players taking on various roles during the course of the
game, including that of an investigator searching to uncover the mystery of the
aliens and a saboteur working to stop the aliens from taking over.
